Our journey began in 2023 with a simple goal: to build a business while in college, inspired by my mother\u2019s own success as an entrepreneur. Like many startups, I initially looked into standard, low-cost overseas manufacturing to get things off the ground.

However, my path shifted when I stepped back to complete my degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University. For my Capstone Project, I dove deep into the textile industry. I was shocked by what I found: widespread poor working conditions, a lack of environmental accountability, and supply chains built on exploitation.

I realized I couldn't build a brand that contributed to that conflict. I immediately removed all of my early product listings associated with 'sweatshop-like' conditions. I wanted my brand to be part of the solution.

That realization birthed Honest Modest<\/strong>. In our quest for a better alternative, we proudly partnered with Teemill\u2014a manufacturer deeply committed to ethical, organic, and sustainable practices.<\/p> The \"Honest\" in our name represents our transparent, clean supply chain. The \"Modest\" represents our faith-driven values. As a Christian-founded brand, we are dedicated to giving back. A portion of every purchase funds mission trips, builds houses, and organizes clothing drives. We also allocate funds to research ways to make ethical fashion more affordable for everyone, helping other companies join the movement. On a personal note, the evolution of this brand has closely mirrored my own spiritual evolution. As I\u2019ve learned more about Christ and embarked on a beautiful, life-changing journey toward Catholicism, my desire to create a business that truly honors God has only grown.
